Junior Presentation 2008

 

 Charlotte Wild, Junior Captain welcomed everybody to the Junior Presentation at Portal Premier Golf Club on Saturday 12th January 2008 and introduced the officials, County Captain, Sue Wilson, President, Sue Bennett and Guest Speaker Liz Pook.

 

Liz Pook presented certificates, to all the girls present, who had reduced their handicaps or had gained an initial handicap

 

 

 

 

 

 

 In 2007 5 more girls achieved a single figure handicap, Jade Evans, Zoe Evans, Lauren Oleskik , pictured, and also Rachel Hawkins & Lauren Drake.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Claire Fry, Zoe Evans, (back row) Gemma Clews, Kelly Paxton, & Bronte Law (front row) all played in at least 3 County matches and gained 3 points to achieve their Junior colours.

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

                                                                               

  The winning team of Charlotte Leatham, Gemma Clews, Abbie Cowlard, Imogen Wilson, Flossie Logan (pictured) and also Fraya Rowlands were presented with team pictures from the Northern Girls Jamboree.

Gemma Clews also won the most improved golfer in the Bronze Division reducing from 36 to 19 followed closely by Charlotte Leatham in second place reducing from 28 to 15.

 

 

 

 

 

 Kelly Paxton from Wallasey won the Best Match Player of 2007. This award is given to the girl who has won the most matches representing the County Junior Team

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Judy Statham awarded the Trophy for the most improved golfer for 2007 to Zoe Evans from Styal with a reduction in Handicap from 10 down to 5. Joint runners up were Charlotte Wild  & Rachel Goodall who both reduced from 4 to 2.
